Hi, my name is Dan. I am exploring what “church” is about and how I fit into it. I know that church is a “together” experience, so I am looking for others who may be at an "explore time" in their lives also.

Jesus said, “I will build my church.” This means all His believers/followers everywhere and all time, not a particular church with a street address in Jerusalem, Tokyo, or Atlanta during a given century or millenium.

Jesus also said He would build His church on our confession of Him as Savior, Lord, and Son of the Living God. So His church, either the one all time and everywhere or any local expression of that church in a given time, is something organic, living, and growing.

Our experience of the church happens within the context of a church or churches. It is important to remember that both the church and all churches have imperfections; they are made up of people who live imperfectly.

Our own imperfections and the imperfections of others sometimes cause disappointment, discomfort, and even disruption in our lives and families.

For some, there are times of uncertainty, questioning, and doubt in matters of faith. Even well-grounded believers search for direction for further growing and serving.
